Kathryn Oehlschlager is an associate at Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP. Her practice focuses on environmental litigation and compliance counseling under both federal and state environmental statutes, as well as land use, commercial, and other litigation matters.

Kathryn's professional expertise includes:

• Representing clients in litigation arising out of state and federal environmental and land use statutes, including CERCLA, RCRA, the federal Clean Water Act, HSAA, and the Polanco Redevelopment Act, as well as toxic tort and common law environmental actions
• Counseling clients regarding compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws, including the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB32), the federal Clean Water Act, the California Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, and state and federal solid waste laws and regulations
• Representing clients in all aspects of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) project review process, including preparation, review, and analysis of negative declarations, draft environmental impact reports, and final environmental impact reports
• Prosecution and defense of claims arising under CEQA and the California Planning and Zoning Law
• Defense of claims under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (California's Proposition 65)
• Representing clients in insurance coverage matters, including providing advice on coverage issues, litigating complex coverage disputes, and negotiating settlements
• Advising clients regarding the negotiation and enforcement of oil, mineral, and gas leases
• Counseling clients regarding pre-acquisition due diligence, acquisition, cleanup, redevelopment, financing, insuring, sale, and leasing of brownfields
