Marc Zeppetello is a partner with Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP, and was formerly a partner with Morthole & Zeppetello. Marc has extensive experience with counseling and litigation related to federal and state environmental laws, with emphasis on the Clean Water Act, cleanup of contaminated property and cost recovery, hazardous waste management, the Clean Air Act, and land use.

Marc's professional expertise includes:

  • Negotiating wastewater discharge permits, cleanup orders, and air emissions permits; commenting on proposed federal regulations to establish wastewater effluent limitations and air emissions standards
  • Analyzing hazardous waste management compliance issues under federal and California law; negotiating corrective action requirements
  • Defending CERCLA cost recovery actions and Clean Water citizen suits; representing plaintiffs to recover costs for cleanup of contaminated property and in citizen suits under RCRA and Proposition 65
